Connecticut’s most remarkable tumblers, jumpers, cheerleaders and gymnasts exhibition
at Branford High School on Saturday, March 6th
New Haven , CT – (March 3, 2010) -- At age 7 when other children were outside playing as they should, Jaxxon was fighting for his life.
In 2006, the day after Thanksgiving Jaxxon Reed, a vibrant young boy from Bethel CT complained to his mother that his head was “burning”. By the next day Jaxxon was in surgery for a malignant brain tumor (Neuroblastoma). The life threatening surgery was followed my numerous rounds of chemotherapy at Yale-New Haven Hospital. In February of 2008 just days before it would no longer make a difference a medicine was approved and was administered to Jaxxon. By June 2008 Jaxxon and his mother Kim Reed and Sister Lexxi Reed, moved to NYC into the Ronald McDonald house, Kim gave up everything to be with Jaxxon. She home schooled both children at the Ronald McDonald House while Jaxxon was now being treated at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Jaxxon continued his treatment plan until his release nearly a year later. Jaxxon is an amazing little boy, now 11 and living in Roxbury CT and just beginning back at public schools.
